Hemolok Gel is a water soluble mixture of Feracrylum (incomplete ferrous salt (II, III) of polyacrylic acid).

Each 3% of Hemolok Gel contains Feracrylum.

Feracrylum is a biocompatible, biodegradable polymer. This polymer is hygroscopic in nature, soluble in water, non-absorbable in the system and forms complexes when in contact with blood.

Hemolok Gel is a haemostatic, antimicrobial and hygroscopic agent.

Having local haemostatic action, Hemolok Gel arrests oozing from the wound site and thus causes haemostatis.

Hemolok Gel has awide range of antimicrobial activity against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria and pathogenic fungi.

Hemolok Gel helps in maintaining a moist environment at the wound site conducive for rapid healing due to its hygroscopic property.

When Hemolok Gel comes into contact with serum protein, it forms a whitish thin film adduct gel like structure, which creates a physical barrier.

Hemolok Gel is packed in 15gm, 50gm and 100gm tubes.
